2020 as we all know was a year to remember. I was going to go on and on with a breakdown, but instead I’m gonna focus on the highlights.
The bad:
• I lost my career of 15 years. A job I was great at, was pretty much created for me, and I owned it like no one could.
• My dog of 13 years passed away.
• I lost all my savings.
• We all lost a lot of good people.
• I lost a lot of friends in the process of losing my job.
• I had to fight off depression.
• A handful of personal issues I won’t discuss but we’re dramatic.
• I’m 99% sure I caught the rona and now have Asthma.
The good:
• I started writing again.
• I decided not to sit on my ass and I started my own woodworking company.
• I pursued a personal training certification and it gave me a purpose and education. Although I didn’t complete it for a few reasons. It still kept me busy and I learned.
• I took ownership of my physical fitness and health again.
• I embraced my brokenness, pain, and uniqueness.
• I sought out professional help for my healing.
• I am more myself than I ever have been.
• I protected my family.
• I started a new career.
• I made new friends and was able to touch lives.
• I read 12 books.
• I started hobbies that I never had before.
• I walked 250 miles over the summer.
• I lost weigh and regained my confidence.
Overall 2020 was a shock to the system, but it was a shock I personally needed to make changes in my life that I would have otherwise not taken.
Cheers to a New Year!
