Today starts an official new chapter of my life. I have not been without work since the restaurant I worked at as a bartender was closed down back in 2005. I wasn‘t sure how to react at first, but over this week and with the world turning upside down I have decided to embrace this time. I do not have many fears in life, spiders, and letting my girls down.

I could sit here and binge watch, get fat-ter, and slide deeper into a depressive state. But, I decided to “embrace the suck” which is a term used in the military and other places to suck it f$&@ up and be a man. If I can’t be a leader at the workplace, I need to be at leader at my home. Thats what my kids need.

So, we are embracing change. I will be taking advantage of the next 90 days and using routine, discipline, and encouragement to build a bond with my children. I honestly believe after the last 2 years this will become a blessing.
